12:00 – 1:00 p.m. Kansas State West Stadium Tour
This $75 million, 250,000 square foot West Stadium Center opened in Fall 2013 and is a state of the art facility for athletes and fans alike. There is no charge for this public tour but participants must provide their own transportation. The stadium is approximately a 10 minute drive from the hotel.

Continue the networking and camaraderie with peers at Harry’s Restaurant in Manhattan, immediately following the KAPCIC banquet.  Ge Re will be hosting an open bar with appetizers from 8:30-10:30 pm for all KAPCIC attendees.  Harry’s Restaurant, located in the Wareham Hotel is at the cross streets of Poyntz Avenue and 4th Street, is within walking distance from the Discovery Center.

The coming social demographic changes will dictate a shift from the management ranks to the executive boardroom in order for companies to remain agile, relevant and profitable. This practical workshop will show you how to foster engagement and enhance productivity among those from different generational groups. You will become more effective at managing the coming talent transition with a focus on creating a learning environment.

2:00 – 3:00 p.m. Severe Convective Storms – Climate and Resilience Essentials
The session will address essentials of tornado, hail and wind perils. The state of knowledge concerning tornado, hail and wind – where it occurs and with what severity – will be discussed as relevant to the industry. Damage characteristics for structures subjected to these perils will be discussed, with a view to possible resilience measures. Recent events will lend a practical view to the discussion.
