Born and raised in Kansas, Dan Scott has been in the insurance business for 43 years – 38 of those with Kansas Mutual. He started out as an underwriter, worked as an executive manager, and is now president of the company. Dan has been active in united way, his church – Christ the King, and youth sports – including coaching basketball, baseball and softball. He has served as president of the Kansas Association of Property & Casualty Insurance Companies. He has also been an active member of the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies, vice president & treasurer of the Midwest Rating and Service Bureau, and he has served on the audit committee of the Kansas Insurance Guaranty Association for the past 8 years. Dan is retiring from Kansas Mutual Insurance Company in February of 2018.
